Panama
Just google "Panama Amazon" and you will find nothing bad about these creatures. Slightly smaller Amazons, they are known to be sweet, gentle, loving family members. Never moody, as with some Amazon species, they make great choices for families with children.
Panamas have a beautiful face, and although often confused with the Yellow Crowned Amazon, their beaks are white as opposed to the Yellow Crown's redish/orange beak. Talking ability can be very good and housing them is not difficult as they are not cage destructive.
Toys are mandatory as they love to play, but again, not usually destructive. Interchange toys frequently, even if they are not destroyed to prevent boredom. House them in a cage approximately 34" x 24".
Feed them a pelleted diet, lots of veggies, pasta, rice, fruit, just about anything healthy on your own plate! Watch out for fat in their diet. Amazons can become overweight and suffer fatty tumors.
If you are able to find one of these sweeties, you will be rewarded for many years with a loving parrot who makes an ideal family pet.
