Orange Wing
The Orange Winged Amazon is approximately 13 inches in length and smaller than some of the common Amazons like the Yellow Nape.
DNA is necessary to tell males from females, as with all Amazons. Native to South America, they are rain forest birds who love to bath.
They can make wonderful pets even in an apartment or condo, as they do not require a huge cage, although noise may be a factor. Cage size should be 32" x 23".
Capable of living forty plus years when fed a healthy diet of pellets, veggies, pasta, eggs, sprouts and white meat. Stay cautious of any fat in their diet as Amazons can be over weight with lack of exercise.
