Hybrid Macaws

Opinion varies concerning the hybridization of Macaws in the pet market today. At Birdfarm.com, we do no breeding ourselves, so we do not wrestle personally with this dilemma. However, it is our concern that because of the daily destruction of natural habitat for the Macaws, and all animals, we want to keep blood lines pure.

Some day, if we continue at the present rate, there will be no land for these gorgeous creatures. And when that happens, the only place that you or I will be able to view Macaws, and other parrots, will be at places like the BIRDFARM SUPERSTORE, zoos, and aviaries.

We would hope that all breeders would work hard to keep the blood lines pure when breeding the Scarlets, the Blue & Golds, the Green Wings, and the Macaws that are found naturally today. That will alleviate the concern of some day never being able to find a pure Blue and Gold, Green Wing, or Scarlet.
