The BIRD OF THE MONTH for AUGUST is the BARE EYED COCKATOO
Some might think that the sweet little Bare Eyed is not as attractive as other Cockatoos, however, his charming personality makes up for any appearance doubts you might have!
They are known by their bare skin around the eyes and usual good ability to imitate. They are approximately 15 inches from beak to tail, white with a beautiful peach wash of color.
Bath these little powerhouses often to control feather dust. Feed a pelleted diet with some high quality seed/nut mixture. Also a variety of healthy vegetables, dark green and orange like broccoli, sweet potato and squash. Treats can be almonds, which they adore.
